Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches.

For older plants, a harder prune can be done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Best propagated from semi-ripe cuttings taken in summer. Dip the cut end in rooting hormone and insert into a well-draining, peaty compost. Keep moist and in a warm, humid environment.

Seeds can be sown in autumn or spring, but germination can be erratic.
