Bidens frondosa thrives in consistently moist soil. Water deeply when the top centimeter of soil feels dry. Avoid letting the soil completely dry out, especially during hot weather, as this can stress the plant.

Reduce watering frequency in cooler months, but maintain some moisture.

Deadheading spent flowers can encourage more blooms and prevent self-seeding if unwanted. Pruning can also be done to maintain a desired shape or to control its spread, especially in smaller gardens.

Trim back leggy growth to promote bushiness. Pruning is best done in spring or after flowering.
