Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering slightly in winter, allowing the soil to dry out a bit more between waterings.

Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water, as this can lead to root rot.

Prune to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Pinch back the tips of stems regularly during the growing season.

Remove any yellowing or dead leaves and stems promptly to keep the plant healthy and aesthetically pleasing. Heavy pruning can be done in early spring before new growth begins.
