Water Buddleja asiatica regularly, especially during its active growing season. Allow the top 2-3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings.

Reduce watering in winter when the plant is less active, but do not let the soil become completely dry.

Prune Buddleja asiatica in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches.

Cut back flowering stems from the previous year by about one-third to encourage vigorous new growth and abundant blooms.

Propagate Buddleja asiatica from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Select healthy shoots, cut them into 10-15 cm lengths, and remove lower leaves.

Dip the cut end in rooting hormone and insert into a moist, well-draining potting mix.

Repot young Buddleja asiatica plants annually in spring. Mature plants can be repotted every 2-3 years, or when they become root-bound. Use a slightly larger pot with fresh, good-quality potting compost.
