Water regularly once the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Allow excess water to drain away completely to prevent waterlogging.

Reduce watering frequency during winter months to mimic a drier dormant period, but do not let the soil become completely parched.

Prune to maintain shape and size, and to remove any dead or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done anytime, but more significant pruning is best performed in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

This encourages bushier growth and flowering.

Propagate from seeds sown in spring, or from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds may require scarification or soaking before sowing.

Cuttings should be placed in well-draining potting mix and kept in a warm, humid environment until rooted.

Repot young plants annually, and mature plants every 2-3 years, preferably in spring. Use a well-draining potting mix. Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one to avoid overwatering issues.

Ensure good drainage holes.
