Water Turkey Mullein moderately when the soil is dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.

Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, especially during its dormant period in cooler months.

Prune Turkey Mullein to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove spent flower stalks to prevent self-seeding if unwanted. Light pruning can be done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Dead or damaged branches should be removed anytime.

Propagate Turkey Mullein primarily by seed. Sow seeds in early spring directly into the garden after the last frost, or start indoors a few weeks prior.

It can also be propagated by stem cuttings taken in spring or early summer, but seed is the most common method.

Repotting is generally not necessary for Turkey Mullein, as it prefers to be slightly root-bound and can become leggy if over-potted. If grown in a container, repot only when severely root-bound, typically every 2-3 years, into a slightly larger pot with fresh, well-draining soil.
