Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Reduce watering in cooler months. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging.

Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Prune to maintain desired shape and size, or to remove dead or leggy growth. Use clean, sharp shears. Pinching back young shoots encourages bushier growth. Pruning can be done at any time, but is best in spring.

Easily propagated from stem cuttings. Take 10-15 cm cuttings from healthy stems, remove lower leaves, and dip the cut end in rooting hormone. Plant in moist potting mix and keep in a warm, bright location.

Roots usually form within a few weeks.

Repot every 2-3 years, or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one. Use a well-draining potting mix. Repot in spring before new growth begins.
