Water Tulipa undulatifolia thoroughly after planting and during dry spells, especially when the foliage is actively growing. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Reduce watering significantly once the flowers have faded and the foliage begins to yellow and die back.

Remove spent flowers (deadheading) immediately after they fade to prevent seed formation and redirect energy into bulb development.

Allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally before cutting it away in late spring or early summer. This nourishes the bulb for the following year.

Tulipa undulatifolia primarily propagates through bulb offsets. After the foliage has died back, carefully lift the bulbs. Separate any smaller bulbils (offsets) from the mother bulb.

Replant these divisions, ideally in the autumn, at the same depth as the parent bulb.

Tulips are generally not repotted in the same way as many houseplants. However, if bulbs are overcrowded or you wish to divide them, lift them from the ground after the foliage has completely withered.

Clean off excess soil and store them in a cool, dry, dark place until replanting in autumn.
