Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Reduce watering frequency during the winter dormancy period, allowing the soil to dry out more between waterings.

Prune to maintain shape, remove dead or damaged stems, and encourage branching. Use sharp, clean tools to make cuts just above a leaf node.

Pruning can also be done to control the size of the plant or to stimulate flowering by removing older growth.

Propagate by stem cuttings. Take 10-15 cm cuttings from healthy stems and allow them to callus for a few days before planting in a well-draining potting mix.
