Water regularly once established, especially during dry spells. Aim to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering in winter when the plant is dormant.

Check the soil moisture before watering to avoid over or under-watering.

Prune to maintain desired shape and size, or to remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done after flowering.

Heavy pruning should be avoided unless necessary to rejuvenate an old plant, and should be done in late winter or early spring.

Propagate from seeds sown in autumn or spring, or from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds may require stratification.

Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and kept in a moist, warm environment until established.

Repot young plants every 1-2 years in spring as needed. Established plants rarely need repotting. Use a well-draining potting mix.

Ensure the new pot is only slightly larger than the current one to avoid waterlogging the roots.
