Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out slightly between waterings for established plants.

Reduce watering in winter when growth slows.

Deadhead spent flowers to encourage further blooming and prevent self-seeding. In late autumn or early spring, cut back the plant to about 10-15 cm above the ground to promote vigorous new growth for the next season.

Easily propagated from seed sown in spring, either indoors or directly outdoors. Division of established clumps in early spring is also a simple and effective method to create new plants.

Young plants may benefit from repotting every one to two years to refresh the soil and provide more space. Mature plants are generally best left undisturbed in their preferred locations as they can be sensitive to root disturbance.
