Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Acanthospermum glabratum prefers consistently moist soil but can tolerate short dry periods.

Avoid waterlogging, as this can lead to root rot, especially in poorly draining conditions.

Prune to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Deadhead spent flowers to promote continuous blooming and prevent self-seeding if desired.

Light pruning can be done anytime, but heavier pruning is best in early spring before new growth begins.

Propagation is easily achieved through seeds sown directly outdoors after the last frost, as it readily self-seeds. Alternatively, seeds can be started indoors a few weeks before the last frost.

Cuttings can also be taken from established plants.
