Pruning is generally minimal. Remove any dead, yellowing, or decaying foliage as needed to maintain plant health and appearance.

Trimming can also be done to control spread, especially in contained aquatic setups, by simply cutting back overgrown stems to the desired length.

Propagation is easily achieved by division or stem cuttings. In spring, gently divide larger clumps into smaller sections, ensuring each piece has roots.

Stem cuttings can also be taken from healthy shoots, which will readily root when placed in water or moist substrate.
