Fringed Loosestrife prefers consistently moist soil. Water regularly, especially during dry periods, to prevent the soil from drying out completely.

Aim to keep the soil damp but not waterlogged, as this can lead to root rot. Reduce watering slightly in winter when growth slows.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage reblooming and maintain a tidy appearance. Cut back the entire plant in late fall or early spring to remove dead or damaged stems and to encourage fresh growth.

This also helps to manage its spread.

Fringed Loosestrife is easily propagated by division in early spring or fall. Simply dig up the plant and divide the root ball into sections, ensuring each section has healthy roots and shoots.

It can also be grown from seed sown in spring.

Established plants generally do not require frequent repotting. If the plant becomes overcrowded or appears to be outgrowing its container (if grown in pots), repot in early spring.

Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one and use a good quality, well-draining potting mix.
