Water sparingly during active growth (fall and winter), allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.

Reduce watering significantly in spring and summer when the plant enters dormancy, providing only enough to prevent the bulbs from shriveling. Overwatering is the most common cause of rot.

Pruning is generally not required. Remove any dead or yellowing leaves at the base of the plant as they appear to maintain a tidy appearance and prevent potential disease.

Spent flower stalks can be trimmed off after blooming.

Propagate Albuca spiralis primarily through offsets (bulblets) that form around the base of the parent bulb. Carefully separate these in spring during repotting and plant them in well-draining soil.

Seed propagation is possible but slower and less common.
