Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot, especially in cooler temperatures. Reduce watering frequency during winter dormancy.

Pruning is usually not necessary for Gamochaeta antarctica. If the plant becomes leggy or overgrown, light pruning can be done in spring to maintain a tidy appearance and encourage bushier growth.
