Prune Guazuma invira to maintain its desired shape and size, or to remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. This can be done anytime, but major pruning is best in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Guazuma invira can be propagated from seeds, which may require scarification or soaking before sowing. Stem cuttings can also be taken, preferably semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer.

Rooting may take several weeks to months in a warm, humid environment.
