Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during active growth. Reduce watering in cooler months. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

Allow the top 2-3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings.

Prune to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Pinch back young stems to promote branching. Remove spent flowers to prolong blooming and prevent self-seeding.

Heavy pruning can be done in late winter or early spring to rejuvenate the plant.

Easily propagated from stem cuttings. Take 10-15 cm cuttings in spring or summer and root them in moist potting mix or water. Cuttings typically root within 3-4 weeks. Can also be grown from seed sown in spring.
