Water regularly, especially during dry periods, to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings once established.

Reduce watering in winter when the plant is dormant.

Prune immediately after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new blooms for the following year. Remove any dead, diseased, or crossing branches.

Harder pruning can be done in late winter if needed to rejuvenate older plants, but this may reduce flowering that season.

Propagate by taking semi-hardwood cuttings in mid to late summer. Select healthy shoots, cut them into 10-15 cm lengths, and remove lower leaves. Dip the cut end in rooting hormone and insert into a moist potting mix.

Maintain humidity until roots form.

Repot young plants every 1-2 years in spring before new growth begins. Mature plants generally do not require frequent repotting; move them to a slightly larger pot only if root-bound.
