Pruning is generally minimal for Gustavia superba, primarily focused on removing dead, damaged, or crossing branches.

If needed to manage size or shape, prune lightly in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. This encourages bushier growth and maintains an attractive form.

Propagate Gustavia superba from fresh seeds, which require warm temperatures and high humidity to germinate. Soaking seeds in warm water for 24 hours can improve germination rates.

Alternatively, cuttings can be taken, but are more challenging to root successfully.
