Water regularly, especially during dry spells, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering in winter when the plant is dormant.

Aim for deep watering to encourage strong root development. Mulching helps retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth starts. Remove old, dead, or weak canes to the ground. Thin out crowded canes to improve air circulation and fruit production.

Allow new primocanes to establish for the following season's fruiting.

Propagate by tip layering or root cuttings. Tip layering involves bending a long cane to the ground and covering the tip with soil to encourage rooting. Root cuttings can be taken in late winter from dormant plants.

Division of established clumps is also effective.

Repot container-grown plants every 2-3 years, or when they become root-bound. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one. Use a well-draining potting mix.
