Pruning is primarily for shape, removing dead or crossing branches, and managing size. Best done during the dormant season (late fall to early spring). Remove suckers that emerge from the base to maintain a desired form.

Avoid heavy pruning, as it can stress the plant.

Propagate from seeds collected from mature pods. Scarify the seeds by nicking them or soaking them in hot water to improve germination rates. Sow in well-draining soil and keep moist.

Cuttings are less common and can be difficult to root.

Repotting is rarely necessary for established trees. Young plants grown in containers should be repotted when they become root-bound, typically every 2-3 years, moving to a slightly larger pot with well-draining soil.
