Water cypressvine regularly, especially during dry periods. Aim to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering slightly in cooler months or when the plant is dormant.

Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot.

Prune cypressvine to manage its size and shape, and to encourage bushier growth. Remove spent flowers (deadheading) to promote more blooms. Trim back leggy stems in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Propagate cypressvine from seeds sown directly in the garden after the last frost, or start them indoors 4-6 weeks prior. Seeds germinate readily in warm soil.
