Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Reduce watering during cooler months. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

Prune to maintain desired shape and size, and to encourage bushier growth. Remove dead or diseased branches anytime. Light pruning can be done after flowering to promote reblooming and prevent excessive seeding.

Propagate from seeds sown in spring or from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds can be sown directly into pots or trays. Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and placed in a well-draining medium.

Repot young plants annually or every two years in spring to ensure adequate space for root growth. Mature plants can be repotted less frequently.
