Monitor soil moisture, especially during prolonged dry spells in its native arid or semi-arid climate.

Pruning is typically minimal and focused on removing dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Avoid heavy shearing, as this can damage the plant and lead to dieback. Maintain its natural pyramidal or columnar shape.

Propagation is primarily achieved through seeds, which require a period of cold stratification to germinate.

Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in late summer or early autumn, but success rates can be variable. Use rooting hormone to encourage root development.
