Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches to maintain shape and encourage vigorous growth.

Light pruning can also be done after flowering to manage size and shape.

Propagate from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Dip cuttings in rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining medium. Maintain high humidity and warmth for successful rooting.

Alternatively, seeds can be sown in spring after stratification.
