Aim for damp, but not saturated, soil throughout the growing season.

After the flowers have faded and spent stalks begin to yellow or brown, prune them back to the ground. Remove any dead or diseased foliage throughout the growing season to maintain plant health and appearance.

Japanese Irises are typically propagated by division in early spring or late summer. Carefully dig up mature clumps and divide them into smaller sections, ensuring each piece has at least a few healthy roots and shoots.
