Juncus X requires consistently moist soil. Water frequently, especially during warmer months, to prevent the substrate from drying out.

Aim to keep the soil saturated but not waterlogged, mimicking its natural wetland habitat. Reduce watering slightly in cooler periods but never allow the soil to become completely dry.

Prune Juncus X annually in late winter or early spring before new growth emerges. Cut back the dead or unsightly foliage to about 5-10 cm from the base. This tidies the plant and encourages vigorous new shoots.

Remove any yellowing or browning leaves throughout the year as needed.
