Pruning is generally not required for *Araucaria hunsteinii* as it maintains a natural pyramidal shape. If necessary, remove dead or damaged branches carefully.
Avoid excessive pruning, which can negatively impact its form and health.
Propagation is typically done from seed, which requires specific germination conditions and can be slow. Cuttings are difficult to root.
Due to propagation challenges, young plants are usually purchased from specialized nurseries.
Repot young plants every 2-3 years in spring, or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix. Older, established trees are best left undisturbed.
Choose a pot that allows for adequate root space but isn't excessively large.
