Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot, especially in poorly draining soils.

Prune to maintain shape and size, or to remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Light pruning can be done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

For shaping or size control, a light trim after flowering is also suitable.

Propagation is typically done by seeds, sown in autumn, or by semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Seeds may require stratification.

Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and placed in a well-draining medium. Patience is key for successful propagation.
