Water regularly, especially during dry periods, to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out between waterings once established.

Reduce watering in late fall and winter.

Prune after flowering in late spring or early summer to maintain shape and size. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches.

To encourage vigorous flowering, thin out older stems by cutting them back to the ground in late winter or early spring.

Propagate from softwood cuttings taken in early summer or hardwood cuttings taken in late autumn or winter. Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and planted in moist, well-draining soil or a sand/peat mixture.

Seed propagation is also possible but less common.

Repot container-grown plants every 2-3 years in spring, before new growth begins. Use a slightly larger pot with fresh, well-draining potting mix. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogging, which can harm the roots.
