Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during fruiting. Water deeply at the base of the plant, avoiding wetting the foliage to prevent fungal diseases.

Reduce watering slightly in late fall and winter when the plant is dormant, but do not let the soil dry out completely.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth starts. Remove any dead, damaged, or weak canes. Thin out old floricanes (second-year canes) that have fruited to encourage new primocane (first-year) growth.

Aim for a balance of primocanes for next year's fruit.

Loganberries are typically propagated by layering or root cuttings. For layering, bend a healthy primocane down to the ground, cover a section with soil, and allow it to root.

Once rooted, detach the new plant and transplant. Root cuttings can be taken in winter.

Loganberries are woody perennials and are not typically repotted in the same way as houseplants. If growing in containers, select a large, sturdy pot.

Annual top-dressing with compost and occasional root pruning may be necessary if the plant becomes pot-bound, usually every 2-3 years.
