Water Gynura procumbens moderately, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Reduce watering in cooler months.

Ensure good drainage in the pot to prevent waterlogging, especially during periods of lower light and growth.

Prune Gynura procumbens to maintain its shape and encourage bushier growth. Pinch back the tips of stems regularly, especially when young.

For older plants, prune back leggy stems by about a third to half in spring to promote new, dense foliage. Remove any dead or yellowing leaves.

Gynura procumbens is easily propagated from stem cuttings. Take 4-6 inch cuttings from healthy stems, remove the lower leaves, and place them in water or moist potting mix. Roots usually form within a few weeks.
