Macrolobium ColombianumMacrolobium colombianum

Macrolobium colombianum prefers consistently moist soil but not waterlogged conditions. Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry.

Reduce watering slightly during cooler, less active periods to prevent root rot. Ensure good drainage to avoid standing water.

Pruning Macrolobium colombianum is primarily for shaping and removing dead or damaged branches. Light pruning can be done at any time of year.

For more significant shaping, prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Use clean, sharp tools.

Propagation is typically achieved through seeds, which require scarification or soaking before sowing. Cuttings can also be attempted, but success rates may vary.

Ensure a warm and humid environment for seed germination and seedling development.

Repot Macrolobium colombianum every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a blend of potting soil, perlite, and sand.

Repot in spring, before the active growth period, and water lightly afterwards.
