Reduce watering frequency during cooler, dormant periods to avoid over-saturating the roots.

Prune Mama Cadela to maintain its shape and size, and to remove any dead or damaged branches. Light pruning can be done anytime, but heavier pruning is best done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

This encourages bushier growth.

Propagate Mama Cadela from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Select healthy shoots, dip the cut end in rooting hormone, and plant in a well-draining potting mix.

Keep the cuttings moist and in a warm, humid environment until roots develop.
