Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid waterlogging, as this can lead to root rot. Reduce watering slightly during cooler, dormant periods but never allow the soil to become completely dry.

Ensure good drainage in the pot.

Prune to maintain desired shape and size, and to remove any dead or overgrown stems. This can be done any time of year but is best after flowering. Light pruning encourages bushier growth.

Use clean, sharp tools to make cuts just above a leaf node.

Propagate from stem cuttings taken in spring or summer. Cuttings should be 10-15 cm long and placed in moist, well-draining potting mix. Rooting hormone can be beneficial.

Keep them in a warm, humid environment until roots develop.

Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one. Use a well-draining potting mix, preferably with some organic matter.

Repot in spring before new growth begins.
