Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during the growing season. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings.

Reduce watering in winter to prevent root rot, but do not let the soil become completely dry.

Prune regularly to maintain a compact and bushy shape, and to encourage more prolific flowering. Pinch back the tips of stems to promote branching. Remove any dead, damaged, or leggy stems as needed.

Pruning also helps to prevent the plant from becoming too tall and straggly.

Easily propagated from stem cuttings taken during the spring or summer. Select healthy, non-flowering stems, cut them into 7-10 cm lengths, and remove lower leaves.

Dip the cut end in rooting hormone (optional) and insert into moist potting mix. Rooting typically occurs within 2-4 weeks.
