Water deeply and regularly, especially when young or during dry periods. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings once established. Avoid waterlogging, as this can lead to root rot.

Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Shape the tree as needed, but avoid excessive pruning, as it can stress the plant. Pinching back new growth can encourage a denser form.

Propagate from seed sown in autumn or spring. Cuttings can be taken from semi-ripe wood in summer. Cuttings may root slowly and require a warm, humid environment with good drainage. Seed germination can be variable.

Repot young trees every 2-3 years in spring, or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix. Established trees in the ground rarely need repotting. Ensure adequate drainage holes in the pot.
