Moringa oleifera prefers well-draining soil and can tolerate short periods of drought once established. Water deeply when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot.

Prune Moringa oleifera to manage size and shape, and to encourage bushier growth. Regular pruning can improve yield of leaves and pods. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches.

Heavy pruning can be done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.

Moringa oleifera is easily propagated from seeds, which should be sown in spring or early summer in well-draining soil. Cuttings can also be taken from mature stems, typically 15-30 cm long, and planted directly into the ground or pots.

Young Moringa oleifera plants may need repotting annually or every other year, especially if grown in containers. Choose a pot that is one size larger than the current one with ample drainage holes.
