Prune lightly to shape the tree and remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. This can be done after flowering or in late winter before new growth begins. Avoid heavy pruning, as it can stress the tree.

Maintain a desired canopy shape.

Propagate from fresh seeds, which may require scarification or soaking to improve germination. Cuttings can also be taken from semi-hardwood in summer, treated with rooting hormone, and placed in a well-draining medium in a warm, humid environment.
