Rosa moschata prefers consistently moist soil, especially during its establishment period and flowering. Water deeply when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry.

Reduce watering in winter, but do not allow the soil to dry out completely. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth appears. Remove any dead, diseased, or crossing branches. Aim to open up the center of the plant for good air circulation.

Lightly trim back stems to encourage bushier growth and more flowers, but avoid heavy pruning.

Rosa moschata can be propagated from semi-ripe cuttings taken in mid-summer. Select healthy shoots and take cuttings of about 10-15 cm.

Container-grown Musk Roses benefit from repotting every 2-3 years, preferably in early spring before growth starts. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one.
