Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during the establishment phase and dry periods. Avoid waterlogged conditions, as this can lead to root rot.

Water deeply when the top few centimeters of soil feel dry to the touch. Reduce watering slightly in cooler months.

Pruning is mainly for management and tidiness. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage further blooming and prevent seed formation if desired. In late winter or early spring, remove any dead or damaged stems.

For vigorous growth control, light trimming can be done after flowering.
