Watering, pruning, propagation, and repotting details from plant data
Aromatic Kyllinga thrives in consistently moist soil. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid letting the plant sit in waterlogged conditions, as this can lead to root rot.
Reduce watering slightly during cooler months but never allow the soil to dry out completely.
Pruning is generally minimal for Aromatic Kyllinga. Remove any dead, yellowed, or damaged foliage as needed to maintain a tidy appearance.
If the plant becomes overgrown, you can trim it back lightly to encourage bushier growth and a more compact shape.
Aromatic Kyllinga is easily propagated by division. In spring, carefully divide established clumps into smaller sections, ensuring each division has roots and shoots.
Replant the divisions immediately into suitable potting mix and water well.
Repot Aromatic Kyllinga every 1-2 years or when it becomes root-bound. Choose a pot that is one size larger than the current one. Use a well-draining potting mix.
Spring is the ideal time for repotting, allowing the plant to establish in its new container.
