Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during active growth. Reduce watering in cooler months or when the plant is dormant. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.

Allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Prune after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove spent flower stalks and any dead or damaged stems. Light pruning can also be done in spring to shape the plant before new growth begins.

Propagate from seeds sown in early spring or autumn. Surface sow seeds in well-draining compost and keep moist. Young plants can be transplanted when large enough to handle.

Division of established clumps is also a viable propagation method in spring.

Repot young plants annually in spring as they grow. Established plants can be repotted every 2-3 years or when root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix.
