Nymphoides aquatica thrives in consistently moist to submerged conditions. Keep the substrate waterlogged, or the plant fully submerged in shallow water.

Avoid allowing the soil to dry out, as this can quickly stress the plant. Maintain a water depth of 5-10 cm above the substrate.

Pruning for Nymphoides aquatica is minimal. Remove any decaying or yellowing leaves as they appear to maintain plant health and aesthetics.

Trim back any overly long stems if necessary to manage spread, though this is rarely needed. Use clean scissors or a knife to prevent disease transmission.

Propagation is typically achieved through division of the rootstock or by collecting seeds from mature plants. Seedlings can be grown in shallow water.

New plants can also readily form from leaf nodes if the plant is allowed to spread, making it quite easy to propagate.

Repotting is infrequently required for Nymphoides aquatica. If the plant becomes overcrowded in its container or the substrate is depleted, repot into a larger aquatic plant pot with a nutrient-rich aquatic soil mix.
