Pruning is generally not required for Orostachys boehmeri unless removing dead or damaged leaves. The plant naturally forms compact rosettes.

If it becomes too leggy, a light trim can encourage bushier growth, but this is infrequent.

Propagation is primarily done through offsets (pups) that form around the base of the mature plant. Carefully separate these pups when they have developed their own roots and pot them in well-draining soil.

They root readily.

Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant has outgrown its container, preferably in spring. Use a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix.
