Seeds are the primary method for propagation. Soak seeds in warm water for 24-48 hours before sowing in a well-draining, moist seed-starting mix. Germination can be slow and erratic, often taking several months.

Young plants may need repotting every 1-2 years, while mature plants can be repotted less frequently, perhaps every 3-5 years. Repot in spring when the plant becomes root-bound, using a larger pot with excellent drainage and a well-aerated potting mix.
