Water thoroughly when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in cooler months to prevent waterlogged roots. Ensure good drainage to avoid root rot.

In hot, dry weather, increase frequency, but never let the plant sit in standing water.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth begins. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing stems. Pinch back new growth to encourage bushiness and flowering.

Passionflowers can become quite vigorous, so regular pruning helps manage size and shape.

Easily propagated from semi-hardwood cuttings taken in summer. Dip the cut end in rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining potting mix. Keep moist and warm, ideally with bottom heat, to encourage root development.
