Reduce watering frequency in winter when growth slows down significantly.

Prune in late winter or early spring before new growth appears. Remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Cut back stems to encourage bushier growth and maintain desired shape.

Pinching back young shoots can also promote a more compact form.

Propagate from seeds sown in spring, or by taking stem cuttings in late spring or early summer. Cuttings should be treated with rooting hormone and planted in a well-draining potting mix.

Seedlings may take several years to reach flowering size.

Repot young plants annually or every two years in early spring. Mature plants can be repotted less frequently, typically every 3-4 years, or when root-bound.

Use a well-draining potting mix, and choose a pot only slightly larger than the current one.
