Water newly planted Echinacea regularly to establish roots. Once established, it is quite drought-tolerant and requires moderate watering, especially during prolonged dry spells.

Allow the top few centimeters of soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot, which it is susceptible to in overly wet conditions.

Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming and prevent excessive self-seeding. In late autumn or early spring, cut back the entire plant to about 10-15 cm above the ground.
